Whole-system duct and dryer vent check with before-and-after photos - you see exactly what came out of your vents
That "$99 whole-house special" is a bait ad - the real number appears once they are in your hallway, or the "clean" is a shop-vac at the register. We photograph the inside of your ducts before and after instead.
Meet the Herndon Team Behind CleanRun Air Duct Cleaning Herndon
We’re the crew that shows up at your door in Herndon with name tags, boot covers, and a camera on every job. Every person on this page has been background-checked, trained under the H.A.V.E.N. Standard, and works with the same equipment roster you’ll find at any CleanRun job across Virginia: Rotobrush, Nikro, Abatement Technologies, Honeywell, Aprilaire, and Guardsman. What ties us together isn’t a script. It’s the Documented Photo Record we deliver after every duct run, and the written price we put in your hand before a single panel comes off.
Our People
Tomas Reyes, Owner
I started CleanRun in 2013 after watching too many homeowners in Northern Virginia get a vacuum hose waved near their return grille and a bill for “complete system cleaning.” I’d spent the previous eight years as an HVAC installer, crawling attics in Reston and crawl spaces in Sterling, and I knew what a real duct cleaning looked like. It looked like a camera pushed past the plenum (the central distribution box where all your duct runs connect), showing a 3-inch debris build-up at the first elbow, not a fuzzy before-and-after of the same register.
Every job I’ve overseen since 2013 has ended with a Documented Photo Record: inside every duct run, before and after, delivered to the customer as part of the standard job record. That’s Haven Standard Clause 1 in practice. I’m state-licensed and carry that number on every estimate. When I’m not on a job site in Herndon, I’m usually at the supply house in Chantilly arguing about filter specs or checking in with the crew after a particularly rough crawl space job in the older neighborhoods off Dranesville Road.
My dry observation, earned through too many return ducts: if I pull out enough pet hair to knit a sweater, I’ll mention it. Not to embarrass anyone, but because it usually means the filter schedule needs adjusting. That’s the kind of thing a photo shows better than I can explain.
Marcus T., Lead Technician
Marcus has been with CleanRun since 2018, which makes him the longest-tenured tech on the Herndon crew after me. He specializes in negative-pressure extraction (a method that pulls debris out under controlled suction rather than blowing it around your living room) and he’s the one we send when a job involves access issues: finished basements in the Franklin Farm area, tight attic kneewalls in the townhomes near Worldgate Drive, anything where you can’t just walk up to a duct and start working.
He’s NADCA-certified and holds the company’s best record for zero call-backs on duct repair and sealing jobs. His human detail: he keeps a collection of before-and-after photos on his phone that he’ll show you unprompted, not because he’s proud of the work, but because he’s still genuinely surprised by what accumulates in ducts that haven’t been opened in fifteen years. He lives in Ashburn with two kids and a dog that sheds enough to keep us all in business.
Dana L., Senior Installer & Duct Repair Specialist
Dana joined us in 2021 after six years doing commercial HVAC installation in Tysons. She handles the jobs that cross from cleaning into repair: disconnected duct runs (sections that have separated, usually in attics where temperature swings degrade the tape), crushed flex duct from that time someone stored holiday decorations on it, and the sealing work that actually changes how air moves through a house.
She’s particularly good at explaining why a duct repair matters in Herndon’s climate. Our humidity swings from July to January stress the mastic and tape in ways that drier regions don’t see. Dana will show you the gap with a borescope camera, explain the pressure test results, and quote the repair in writing before she touches a tool. Her detail: she was a bicycle mechanic through college, and she still thinks about airflow in terms of frame tubes and headwinds. It works better than you’d expect.
Elena R., Service Coordinator
Elena answers the phones and schedules the routes, but that’s a small fraction of what she actually does. She’s the one who confirms your written price before the crew dispatches, who assembles the Documented Photo Record into the final deliverable you receive, and who follows up three days after every job to make sure the photo record made sense and the 365-Day Done Right Promise is clear.
She’s been with CleanRun since 2019 and knows the Herndon service area well enough to warn crews about parking restrictions at specific townhouse complexes or which gates need codes in the Dulles Station area. Her detail: she keeps a map on her desk with push pins for every job we’ve done in Herndon since 2013. Not for decoration. She uses it to route crews efficiently and to spot patterns, like the cluster of 1980s-era homes near the W&OD Trail that all seem to need the same type of plenum repair. She grew up in Fairfax County and still lives in Vienna.
Javier K., Apprentice Technician
Javier started with us in 2024 after completing the HVAC program at Northern Virginia Community College. He’s in his second year of hands-on training, working every job alongside Marcus or Dana, learning to operate the Rotobrush and Nikro equipment, and practicing the photo documentation protocol that Haven Standard Clause 2 requires on every visit.
He’s not yet cleared to quote jobs or work unsupervised, but he’s the one who usually crawls the tightest spaces and holds the camera steady for the shots that go into your record. His detail: he’s the only person on the crew who actually reads the equipment manuals for fun, which means he occasionally knows a setting on the Abatement Technologies unit that the rest of us forgot existed. He lives with his parents in Reston and is saving for his own tools.
One Standard, Every Job

The H.A.V.E.N. Standard isn’t a suggestion we pass around in a binder. It’s the operating system for how this crew works, whether the job is a single-family home off Elden Street or a multi-unit property near the Herndon Metro station. Haven Standard Clause 1: Written Price Before Any Work Starts. Clause 3: Verified Crews, background-checked and uniformed. Clause 5: Documented Photo Record on every visit, no exceptions. The 365-Day Done Right Promise applies to every technician on this page equally. If Marcus seals a duct and it separates again in eight months, we come back and make it right. If Dana’s repair doesn’t hold, we redo it. The promise is in writing on every job, not subject to manager approval, not a policy that disappears when you call.
We’ve served over 52,000 homes since 2013, and the reason that number matters to us is that every one of those homeowners received the same deliverables: the written scope, the written price, the photo record, the warranty. In Herndon, you’re not getting a scaled-down version of that promise. You’re getting the same Rotobrush and Nikro equipment, the same Abatement Technologies negative-pressure systems, the same Honeywell, Aprilaire, and Guardsman products that we use across the network. The only thing local about this operation is the people you’re reading about right now, and the fact that we know which Herndon neighborhoods have clay soil that shifts crawl space ductwork, and which ones have the original 1970s fiberglass that needs gentler handling.
Call (571) 520-6317 and you’ll reach Elena or another live person, any time. Bring us a competitor’s written estimate and we’ll put our number next to it for free. No per-vent pricing, no teaser coupons, no surprises once the van is in your driveway.
